Buckland community led initiatives
If you live or work in Buckland and would like to help to deliver an initiative to benefit flora and fauna you could consider:
- joining in with one of the teams undertaking nature studies on Buckland Estate land. If this would interest you, then please use this contact form to get in touch with the team at the estate office;
- offering to help with delivery of a further initiative on Buckland Estate land – if this appeals to you, please use this contact form to get in touch with the team at the estate office; and
- scoping a project you would like to help deliver then please approach Buckland Parish Council to help you source relevant expert advice and find a sponsor for your proposed activity. Please do seek advice before you act to ensure you fully understand the classification of any particular plot of land and do not unintentionally breach environmental best practice. To contact your parish council please use our contact form.
Simon Humphreys, Surrey Wildlife Trust Volunteer Reserve Manager for Dawcombe, leads volunteer working parties on Dawcombe and some Buckland Estate land along the North Downs. Simon has promised to provide content to provide further details about the volunteer working parties (soon!) to enable a fourth volunteering option to be added to the above list.
